1. How much God love us

-‘’Father, how much does God love us?’’ asked me once a young mother, who had three little children.

From the conversation I had with her, I understood that she was a very simple, humble and kind lady, who had a great desire to love God with all the power of her heart. I told her:

-‘’If you, but also all of us, want to learn how much God love us, we must first learn how God does love us. It is only then when we will learn how much does God love us. You, my child, how much do you love your children?’’

-‘’I adore my children!’’, she answered me. ‘’They are my whole life! There is no way to measure how much I love them. Believe me, my venerable father, that, if I say that I love them from the earth to the sky, it seems to me that I will lie, because I love them even more’’!

-‘’I believe you, my child!’’, I told her. ‘’All mothers, and mainly all the baby mothers, love their children this way. They love them so much, that they are ready to give even their own life for them, when it is needed! Isn’t it so? Haven’t you noticed that, even those animals when they become mothers and give birth, they don’t let anyone harm their babies and they protect them!’’

-‘’It is true, my venerable father! I could even give my own life for my child, if needed!’’

I was touched from this answer of this young mother and I said:

-‘’What a wonderful love, motherly love is! It is the only love which has true sacrifice inside. It is the only love which looks alike the love of our God Father! It is this love which made a God to come to earth as a Mother, in order to suffer and get crucified for us, in order to set us free from the chains of sin!’’

I saw in the eyes of this young lady two precious tears of love rolling down her face and I was touched.

-‘’How does God love us, my father?’’ she asked me with great agony.

-‘’As a Mother, God loves us. As a mother loves her baby, this is how God loves us as well! He loves us, as His babies!

He wants to be for us the sweetest Mother of the world and us to be the babies of His heart.

The parents who gave birth to us, gave us only the body. Our immortal soul, though, who gave it to us? Our parents or our Creator God himself?’’ I asked her.

-‘’God’’, she answered to me.

-‘’So if the parents who gave birth to us and only gave us the body, we call them with the sweet words ‘’mother’’ and ‘’father’’, God who gave us the most valuable that we have, which is our immortal soul, which is superior than our body, how should we call Him?

Shouldn’t we call Him Father? Shouldn’t we feel Him Mother of our soul?’’

-‘’I had never thought of this, my venerable father. You are right. From today on this is how I will call Him and I will teach my children to call Him like that: Mother and Father of their soul’’.

* * *

Yes, my children, God is, for us humans the true Father and Mother of our soul.

And for this we should never forget that, if our God Father is the King of the whole world, we are His own princes!

Is there, really, any other greatest honor and glory for us humans, rather than being the beloved children of God and Him being for us our Father and Mother?

His divine love is for us so great, that there is no way to measure it!

Even if all the mothers of the world, were gathered together to unite their love into one great powerful motherly love, this love of them would still be so little, in front of the infinite love which God Father has for us!

We, humans, are not just a simple creation of God, like the rest of His creatures. For this, the way that He created us is completely different.

For all the rest He said, ‘’let them be and they were done’’. Which means that with only one command of His, he created all those that we see on earth and sky. With us, though, the humans, the Holy Scripture says, He handled us absolutely in person.

He created us so that we are matter and spirit. The material to be perishable and temporary, while the spirit to be immaterial, nonperishable and eternal.

So He first took soil from the earth and created the wonderful and unique in wisdom perishable human body, which after our death becomes soil again.

After God finished with the human body, which is the material side of the human, he continued with his soul, which is the spiritual side of human.

What God did next to human, was something that was happening for the first time to the whole creation!

God stood in front of the human body, which He had just created and looked at it affectionately, tenderly and fatherly. Then He blew inside of it His divine Breath, which means the Holy Spirit, putting inside it his immortal soul.

The soul of the human was from that moment on what most valuable and superior existed in the whole cosmic creation of God.

This way the creation of human was completed. A creation, which only to the matter, which means the material body, was creation, because His Breath was not creation. It is His Holy Spirit, which is not creation.

From the Holy Spirit which God placed inside of us, the human differentiated from all the other creatures of God.

Placing, though, inside us His divine Breath, we could say that as a holy hermit was saying, that our God ‘’gave birth to us’’! He did not simply create us, but He ‘’gave birth to us’’!

And for this He is called our ‘’Father’’! For this when we pray, He wants us to call Him ‘’Our Father…’’, which means ‘’Our Father’’!

The words ‘’father’’, ‘’mother’’ and ‘’child’’ are words which characterize a close familiar relationship of love between these people, and for this when we call God our own Father, we automatically become His family!

God wants all of us to know that He is the real Father and Mother of our soul and that all of us are His sons and daughters! His princes and princesses!

And for this He wants all of us to know, not only how infinitely He loves us but also that He loves and adores us as the sweetest mother of the whole world!
